What Pakistani Groups Are Doing to Bring Food to Gaza Families

The Work of Pakistani Charities in Gaza’s Hard Times

Several Pakistani organizations are actively involved in providing food and other humanitarian aid to Gaza, Palestine, amid the ongoing crisis. Here are some key contributors:

Alkhidmat Foundation Lahore has been a leading force in Gaza relief efforts, distributing thousands of hot meals during Ramadan, sending over 150 tons of relief goods—including food, medical supplies, and tents—and collaborating with international partners like Gazze Destek and IHH. They also launched the ‘Rebuild Gaza’ campaign, aiming to reconstruct vital infrastructure. In 2024, 100 sheep were sacrificed and distributed to families in Gaza and Al-Quds. 100 cows were sacrificed, and the meat was delivered to 2,000 Gaza refugee families residing in Cairo.

Baitussalam Welfare Trust has increased its focus on Palestine, with donations now comprising 50-60% of their total contributions. They operate bread plants, provide healthcare, education, and emergency relief in coordination with Turkish government organizations.

Saylani Welfare International Trust Lahore has dispatched goods worth Rs200 million to Palestine, including food, medicine, and tents. Since 2009, Khubaib Foundation has been delivering aid to Palestine, including tents, cooked food, blankets, and rations. They collaborate with Turkish and Pakistani government entities to deliver aid via Egypt and Turkey.

FGRF Faizan Global Relief Foundation has been involved in humanitarian efforts to assist individuals in Gaza, Palestine. Their initiatives have included distributing food to 40,000 people, vegetables among 2,500 people, and financial aid to 1,000 families. They have also provided tents for 200 families affected by damage to their residences and hygiene kits to 1,500 people.

National Disaster Management Authority NDMA, in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation, has dispatched multiple consignments of humanitarian aid to Gaza, including medicines, food supplies, and other essentials.  Despite challenges such as visa denials, Edhi Foundation continues to express solidarity with Palestinians and seeks ways to provide aid, including food and medical supplies.

These organizations are working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering of the people in Gaza. If you’re interested in supporting their efforts, you can visit their official websites or contact them directly for donation and volunteer opportunities.
