Alkhidmat Empowers 29 Families with Microfinance Initiative

PESHAWAR: In a bid to promote self-reliance and alleviate poverty, Alkhidmat Foundation has provided fruit and vegetable-laden handcarts to 29 deserving families in Peshawar under its Islamic Microfinance Program. Each family received a handcart worth PKR 70,000, offering them a sustainable source of income.

The distribution ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for Social Welfare Syed Qasim Ali Shah, President Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Waqas, and other local officials. Speaking at the event, the dignitaries lauded the initiative as a significant step toward economic stability and self-sufficiency for underprivileged families.

“This initiative will not only uplift the lives of these deserving families but also contribute to the strengthening of the regional economy,” said Khalid Waqas.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude, emphasizing how the program would help them earn a respectable livelihood.
