Eid-ul-Adha is a season of sacrifice, reflection, and, most importantly, sharing. This year, the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan is taking the spirit of giving to a monumental scale. In a recent press conference, Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, President of the Foundation, announced a massive Qurbani initiative aimed at bringing relief and joy to over 500,000 families across Pakistan and the war-torn regions of Gaza.
With a total project valuation of PKR 2.325 Billion, this isn’t just about the ritual—it’s about ensuring that the most vulnerable among us aren’t forgotten during the festivities.
A Global Reach: From Pakistan to Gaza
The heartbeat of this year’s project lies in its international scope. Recognizing the dire humanitarian crisis in Palestine, Alkhidmat has allocated a significant PKR 1.035 Billion specifically for Gaza Qurbani.
Because of the logistical challenges within the region, the foundation has made strategic arrangements in:
-
Egypt
-
Jerusalem
-
Lebanon
These hubs will ensure that fresh meat reaches Palestinian families, orphans, and those displaced by conflict, providing a much-needed source of nutrition and a sense of global solidarity during Eid.
Serving the Heartland
Back home in Pakistan, the scale of the operation remains equally impressive. The foundation is focusing its efforts on widows, orphans, and deserving families who have been hit hard by economic shifts.
The Numbers at a Glance:
-
13,000 Total Animals: A massive logistical undertaking to ensure quality and hygiene.
-
6,000 Cows & 4,000 Small Animals: Specifically designated for distribution across Pakistan.
-
Local Impact: Thousands of volunteers will be on the ground to manage the sacrifice and ensure the meat is delivered directly to the doorsteps of those in need.
Why This Matters
“Our goal is to ensure that the meat of the sacrifice reaches those who haven’t had a proper meal in months. Whether it’s a family in a remote village in Pakistan or a displaced mother in Gaza, Alkhidmat stands with them.” — Prof. Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman
In a world often divided, projects like these remind us of our shared humanity. It’s more than just a distribution drive; it’s a message to the marginalized that they are seen, valued, and supported by their global community.
How You Can Help
As Alkhidmat Foundation embarks on this PKR 2.325 Billion journey, the support of the public remains their greatest strength. By contributing to the Qurbani Project, you aren’t just fulfilling a religious obligation; you are feeding a family and sharing the blessings of Eid across borders.
Let’s make sure no plate is empty this Eid-ul-Adha.
