Week 2 of the Alkhidmat Summer Internship Program is officially over, and honestly, it was an amazing few days!
While learning technical skills is important, we also want to help our interns grow as individuals. That’s why this week was all about personal well being, mindset, and life skills. We invited two fantastic experts to come and speak with our group, and the energy in the room was incredible.
Staying Productive Without Burning Out
First up, Dr. Arif Siddiqui hosted a really engaging session on Mental Well being & Productivity.
A lot of young people think that to be successful, you have to work yourself to exhaustion. Dr. Siddiqui showed our interns that the opposite is true. He shared easy, practical ways to keep a healthy mindset while still crushing your goals. The big takeaway? Take care of your mind first, and real productivity will follow naturally.
Understanding Relationships and Communication
Next, Fareeha Zeshan talked to the interns about something highly relevant to young adults: the Pre & Post Marital Mindset.
Building strong, lasting relationships doesn’t just happen by accident. Fareeha gave a wonderful, honest talk about how important it is to communicate clearly, share the same core values, and understand one another. It was a great eye opener for the interns on how to build healthy connections in their personal lives.
Shaping the Next Generation
At Alkhidmat, we don’t just want to help young people build good resumes we want to help them become kind, responsible, and thoughtful leaders. Seeing our interns ask great questions and really dive into these topics was the best part of the week.
We are so proud of their progress so far, and we can’t wait to see what Week 3 brings!
Together, We Learn. Together, We Serve.
